Insurance broker Hilb, Rogal & Hobbs said it has acquired Greenwood Village, Colo.-based Brown/Raynor Corporation. Terms of the deal were not released.

Founded in 1985 by George "Hank" Brown and Walt Raynor, Brown/Raynor primarily is a property-casualty agency specializing in coverage for home builders. The firm generated revenue of more than $4.5 million in 2006.

The agency's staff of 29 professionals will continue to work from their existing location, joining the Richmond, Va.-based firm's western region under the leadership of William F. Creedon, vice president and West region director.
