Itasca, Ill.-based insurance broker Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. said it has acquired Spanjers Insurance Agency Inc. of Mendota Heights, Minn. Terms of the deal were not released.
Formed in 1998, Spanjers Insurance Agency Inc. is a retail insurance broker offering risk management, commercial property-casualty and employee benefits insurance services to its Midwestern client base. The company specializes in insurance products for the fitness, restaurant, manufacturing, transportation and construction industries.
George T. Spanjers and his associates, a total of 10, will continue to operate out of their current location under the direction of Steven A. Ring, North Central regional manager of Gallagher's retail brokerage services division.
