The Western Insurance Agents Association said Ken Nigohosian is the WIAA's new executive vice president/chief operating office and Kathy McDonald has been named board chairman of the Sacramento, Calif.-based organization.
Ms. McDonald, who is with Watkin Insurance Group, LLC, in Henderson, Nev., was one of a number of appointments announced by the association yesterday.
Mr. Nigohosian, prior to joining WIAA in September was the executive director for the Alliance of Insurance Agents and Brokers.
WIAA said Phil Hakopian is the new chairman-elect for the association. He is the president/owner of Cornerstone Commercial and Personal Insurance Services of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.
Neal Stanley was named the association's new vice chairman. Mr. Stanley is the executive vice president of United Valley Insurance Services, an independent agency located in Fresno, Calif.
Carol Connors, owner and founder of Ck Specialty Insurance Associates Inc., Morgan Hill, Calif., was named secretary/treasurer for WIAA's board.
Jake Galloway, principal and director of the commercial department of Barney & Barney LLC, a private insurance brokerage firm in San Diego, and Richard Frank, founder and owner of Citywide Insurance, a Phoenix-based agency, were named as directors.
