Canton, Mass.-based insurer OneBeacon Insurance Group announced it named three regional presidents. Two of the appointments are new positions to new regions.

John Scroope was named regional president of its Southern New England region, servicing Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island.

Mr. Scroope worked for Chubb in Boston where he was the commercial lines underwriting manager and then regional marketing manager.

He succeeds Roger Pare who was named chief underwriting officer for commercial lines.

Steve Schaeberle was name regional president of OneBeacon's new Mountain states region. Based in Denver, the region includes Colorado, Montana, New Mexico, Texas Utah and Wyoming.

Prior to joining OneBeacon, Mr. Schaeberle worked for Travelers and was responsible for middle market business in the Mountain states.

Craig Collins was named president of the new Mid-states region. Based in Minneapolis, the region will include Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Dakota, West Virginia and Wisconsin.

Mr. Collins joined OneBeacon in 2005 to lead its community banking unit, which he will continue to manage.

All three presidents will report to Drew Carnase, senior vice president of commercial lines.
