The insurance law firm Nelson Levine de Luca & Horst said it has acquired the New York office of Querrey & Harrow in an effort to expand its New York presence and its London market practice. No terms were announced.

The office focuses on the area of complex insurance and reinsurance litigation and consists of eight attorneys, including George Vogrin, who will serve as managing partner of the office.

Querrey & Harrow will help Nelson Levine de Luca & Horst focus on the European insurance market after opening a London office last year to serve its international insurance and surplus lines insurer clients, the firm said.

Michael Nelson, chairman and founder of Nelson Levine, said, "The European insurance market is essential to our continued growth." The new firm, he continued, "expands our capabilities and provides additional depth and support as well as unique experience in exciting new practice areas."

Nelson Levine de Luca & Horst LLC is devoted to helping build and protect the insurance industry's business practices.
