Regional property and casualty insurers ACUITY and Nationwide have both received awards from the American Advertising Federation at the group's national conference June 7-9 in Louisville, Ky.
Nationwide, Columbus, Ohio, earned a gold national ADDY award for a television commercial.
Sheboygan, Wis.-based ACUITY received a silver national ADDY award in the collateral material category for its 2005 annual report.
The local gold award among companies in northeast Wisconsin was also awarded to ACUITY, and the firm won a gold award at the regional level as well.
"Earning a silver ADDY puts us in elite company," said Ben Salzmann, ACUITY president and chief executive officer.
The ADDY Awards is a national advertising competition. The competition was introduced in 1968 and attracts nearly 60,000 entries in various forms of advertising.
