Wells Fargo Insurance Services of Minnesota Inc., a subsidiary of San Francisco-based Wells Fargo & Company, said it has acquired Virchow, Krause & Company, LLP's employee benefits operations in Minnesota.
Terms of the deal, which closed June 1, were not released.
Virchow, Krause is a major accounting and consulting firm with over 1,200 staff and regional offices in Minneapolis, Madison, Milwaukee, Chicago and Detroit.
Jon Ecker, partner and head of the employee benefits practice in Minneapolis, Minn., and his team--including Ruth Henderson, Courtnay Merhiy and Sarah Barton--will join Wells Fargo Insurance Services, which changed its name from Acordia earlier this year.
