A documentary on firefighters sponsored by a California-based insurer was the winner of awards from two marketing associations.
The Insurance Marketing Communications Association (IMCA) and the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) presented Novato, Calif.-based Fireman's Fund Insurance Company with several marketing and public relations awards for its documentary "Into the Fire."
The film is a series of interviews with firefighters throughout the country talking about their job experiences.
The IMCA recognized Fireman's Fund with five "Best of Show" honors, including public relations campaign, company employee communications, audio/visual communications, special communications campaign and cause-related marketing.
The PRSA recognized Fireman's Fund with its "Silver Anvil," the top public relations industry award, for "Events and Observances (More than Seven Days) for Business – Services."
The awards were given earlier this month.
"Into the Fire" was funded and presented by Fireman's Fund as part of the company's social mission to support firefighters for safer communities. Since 2004, Fireman's Fund said it has issued grants to hundreds of different departments totaling more than $12 million.
Fireman's Fund is a member of the Allianz Group of companies.
