Insurance broker USI Holdings Corp. said it has appointed Vincent E. Nerlino as its new executive vice president and chief financial officer. His appointment is effective Tuesday.
The Briarcliff Manor, N.Y.-based firm said Mr. Nerlino was also elected to serve on the board of directors.
Since 1986, Mr. Nerlino has held various positions at American Express Company. He served as senior vice president and chief financial officer, American Express International & Global Corporate Services.
Mr. Nerlino replaces Robert S. Schneider, who resigned to pursue other opportunities.
Formerly a publicly traded company, it is now privately held after USI recently completed the deal to be purchased by the private-equity firm GS Capital Partners Corp.
