Richmond, Va.-based insurance broker Hilb Rogal & Hobbs Company said it has completed its acquisition of the Denver-based Urman Company. Terms of the deal were not released.

Urman is a retail employee benefits and property-casualty brokerage specializing in insurance programs for public educational entities and municipalities.

HRH said that Urman, founded over 25 years ago, has expanded under the leadership of its current chief executive officer and owner, Frank Urman. It includes a staff of 54 located in Urman's Denver headquarters and three branch offices located in Dillon and Brighton, Colo., and Cheyenne, Wyo. The firm reported annualized revenue of $4.7 million in 2006.

Urman's staff will continue to serve clients from their current locations, joining HRH's West Region under the leadership of William F. Creedon, vice president and West regional director.

HRH said it also named Senior Vice President Pamela Haughawout Midwest health care practice leader.

The company said Ms. Haughawout will work closely with the region's 10 offices to help develop customized solutions that best meet clients' medical liability needs. Ms. Haughawout is a member of HRH's National Healthcare Practice Steering Committee and joins the Midwest team from the HRH Boston office.
