Systems Task Group International (STG), a provider of software solutions for the property/casualty insurance industry, has announced the offering of its Renaissance billing solution on the .NET platform beginning fourth-quarter 2007.
"More insurers are embracing .NET as a preferred architecture. STG's move to offer a .NET version of Renaissance should help expand [the company's] market potential and make it a more attractive provider for those who are committed to .NET," says Matthew Josefowicz, managing director, insurance, at research and advisory firm Celent.
STG currently offers its billing solution on a J2EE platform as a stand-alone version as well as an integrated version. The company will continue to support the J2EE platform.
"CIOs realize.NET has matured to pull abreast quickly with J2EE to provide two solid technology platform choices. Enabling CIOs to make the best technical choice to support their business is why we have made this investment in .NET," says John Murdock, president of STG.
STG's decision will broaden its reach in the insurance industry and enable the company to deliver better service to insurance carriers.
