Professional Insurance Communicators of America, the insurance company editors' organization, said it will be offering its annual workshop June 11-13 in Charleston, S.C.

The sessions will be held at the Renaissance Charleston Hotel, and PICA said they will offer professional development and technical education to insurance communicators.

Insurance communicators at the meeting will share ideas, learn about current industry trends and news, acquire tips on writing and designing more effectively, and hear from a variety of speakers, PICA said.

This organization said that among those speaking at the event are John McDermott, Charleston Post & Courier business editor; Cybil Gilmore, Grange Insurance business continuity manager; Allison Dean Love, executive director, South Carolina Insurance News Service; and Mark Towers, founder of Speakout Seminars, LLC.

More information about the conference and registration is available online at www.pro-ins-coa.org.

PICA is an organization of insurance industry communicators dedicated to the continuing education and professional development and the positive promotion of the insurance industry. The Indianapolis-based association was founded in 1954 by a group of insurance company editors meeting at the annual convention of the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies.
