Valdius Holdings Ltd. has entered into an agreement to acquire the outstanding shares of Talbot Holding Ltd. Terms of the deal were not released by the Bermuda-based reinsurer.
Talbot is the parent of a specialty insurance group operating within Lloyd's insurance market through Syndicate 1183 and Underwriting Risk Services Ltd. Syndicate 1183.
Talbot owners include institutional investors, employees and management.
The sale is conditional on regulatory approvals from the United Kingdom's Financial Services Authority, the Lloyd's Corporation and the Bermuda Monetary Authority.
