Four independent agents' state associations were recognized for their commitment to education with the L.P. McCord National Education Award, given by The Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America.
The award was presented during the Alexandria, Va.-based association's recent National Board of State Directors meeting in Washington, D.C.
The L.P. McCord award is given to state associations that have provided their members with the best opportunity to broaden their knowledge of the insurance profession.
The awards were given to the Independent Insurance Agents of Maryland, Alabama Independent Agents Inc., Independent Insurance Agents of Virginia and the Independent Agents and Brokers of Pennsylvania.
