Atlanta, Ga.-based Catlin US has established an inland marine underwriting unit that will be headquartered in Catlin's New York office, the parent company, Catlin Group Ltd. announced.
The firm said the inland marine unit will be staffed by a three-member underwriting team headed by Frank Oleskiewicz. The team will underwrite various classes of inland marine business consisting primarily of builder risk, contractors and mobile equipment, warehouse/distribution, and goods in transit.
Mr. Oleskiewicz was formerly with General Reinsurance in New York and Philadelphia, where he served in various roles over a 14-year career, the company said.
Catlin US underwrites specialty classes of property and casualty insurance. The firm has 16 offices throughout the United States.
