A new claims management company announced its launch at the annual Risk and Insurance Management Society meeting in New Orleans today.
The founding executives of Oklahoma City, Okla.-based Claimetrics asserted the company's focus on “provable, efficient results and true alignment of interests” sets it apart from rival organizations.
“We are a disruptive force in the industry,” said Barry Bloom, president and chief operating officer of Claimetrics and leading proponent for the use of metrics in analyzing claims data.
Mr. Bloom said the focus for decades has been on the process of managing a claim.
“That's not our standard. Our goal is the result: to efficiently resolve a claim, to positively impact the health and productivity of the workforce, and to lower total costs to the employer,” he said. “Those are measurable, provable results.”
Marshall Snipes, chief executive officer, explained that the leadership team of Claimetrics consists of top experts in their respective fields. “Our industry is, frankly, stuck in the legacy systems of the past,” he said.
“At Claimetrics, we were able to construct new, innovative systems to meet the demands of a new business world,” he added.
Mr. Bloom was a senior executive at Sedgwick CMS Inc. and the national practice leader, Claim Consulting Practice, at AON, and has specialized in workers' compensation, liability and non-occupational disability claims administration and integrated clinical managed care.
Mr. Snipes lists 35 years of experience from a spectrum of industries including insurance, oil and gas, investment banking and public accounting.
