Chicago-based Aon Corp said Mike Reynolds has been named chief financial officer for Aon Re Global, the firm's reinsurance brokerage arm.
He had been serving in that post on an interim basis since 2006. He fills a vacancy created when CFO John T. Roby died last month after a long battle with cancer.
Mr. Reynolds joined Aon in 1996, serving in senior financial positions with Aon Captive Services Group and Aon Re Global–U.K., and was instrumental in coordinating financial reporting, budgeting and financial compliance with Aon Re Global's Europe–Middle East–Africa and Asia-Pacific regions, the firm said.
He will continue to serve as chief financial officer of Aon Re Global–U.K., based in London.
