The National Conference of Insurance Guaranty Funds said on May 1 it will launch an information technology newsletter titled Technology Briefing.

Targets for the new publication are guaranty association managers, their IT staff, receivers, IT contractors and others in the insolvency industry, the group said.

Indianapolis-based NCIGF said the free, quarterly publication will feature articles focusing on a range of technology topics of interest to the insolvency sector, including security, disaster recovery, business continuity, claims systems and E-Discovery.

“Technology Briefing will bring readers staff-written and reader-submitted news, features, technology reviews and useful how-to articles,” said Tom Wagenhauser, editor of the new publication.

The NCIGF's Technology Briefing, Mr. Wagenhauser said, will provide the latest news on “hot technology-related topics, issues and products that are important to members of the insolvency industry, virtually all of whom look to technology to deliver efficiencies and economy in the day-to-day administration of insolvencies.”

He explained, “In the same way that NCIGF's Insolvency Briefing brings to our members the latest on insolvencies and related issues, our new Technology Briefing will be a forum through which our members and insolvency partners can read the latest tech-related news and developments.”
