The Western States Surplus Lines Conference will be held June 19-23 in Scottsdale, Ariz., the Arizona Surplus Lines Association announced.

Arizona Insurance Director Christina Urias is scheduled to address the conference and Arizona Gov. Janet Napolitano has also been invited to speak, the group said.

Conference events include a panel discussion with representatives from the surplus lines insurers XL Excess & Surplus Lines, Colony Insurance Company, Scottsdale Insurance Company, Nautilus Insurance Company and Markel Southwest Underwriters, the association said.

For entertainment, the group said, a Beatles tribute band will perform following an opening reception.

Western States Conference is rotated annually among the western surplus lines associations. Those involved in hosting the meetings are the Surplus Lines Associations of Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah and Washington.

The June conference will take place at the Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort and Spa at Gainey Ranch. Registration is available online at www.sla-az.org.
