Calco Insurance Brokers & Agents Inc., an independent employee-owned insurance brokerage, said it is celebrating the firm's 70th year of operation.
The San Mateo, Calif.-based firm, founded in 1937, marked its founding last week. The company provides property, casualty, employee benefits, workers' compensation and personal lines coverage to commercial clients and individuals.
Until 2001 the business was family owned. It was purchased then by employees.
Calco today employs 85 persons and operates three offices in Orange, Sacramento and San Mateo, Calif.
