Marsh brokerage in New York has announced the appointment of chief operating officers for three of its business sectors.
The executives are:
o Patricia Hagemann named COO of the Americas.
o David Lessing named COO of U.S. middle market.
o Philip Petronis named COO of global products and services management.
Before her appointment, Ms. Hagemann was chief financial officer of North America operations. She has held a number of senior leadership positions over her 26-year career with the firm.
Mr. Lessing joins Marsh from Merrill Lynch, where he was managing director and chief operating officer of the direct division. He led the Americas strategy group of Merrill Lynch and was responsible for developing and executing key brokerage business initiatives.
Mr. Petronis is a 32-year veteran of New York-based Marsh & McLennan Companies, parent company of Marsh. Most recently he was executive vice president and chief financial officer of Guy Carpenter, another MMC subsidiary, and a member of that firm's executive committee. Earlier, he was a principal of MMC Capital and was involved in its formation in 1993.
Separately, reinsurance broker Guy Carpenter announced that Laurent Dignat has joined the firm's newly created European solutions group.
Mr. Dignat will be responsible for integrating the capital markets, structured risk and enterprise risk management disciplines in Europe.
He joins Guy Carpenter from Soci?t? G?n?rale's Corporate and Investment Banking where he led the alternative risk transfer initiative within the firm's equity derivatives department.
