SunGard has announced the launch of SunGard iWORKS Premium Billing Solution (PBS), an enterprisewide billing system for the property/casualty industry. SunGard iWORKS PBS is the rebranded version of the recently acquired Maxim Insurance Software Corporation (Maximsoft) Ebenezer premium billing system.
SunGard iWORKS PBS is designed to be used as an independent billing solution for one or more policy systems or can be integrated into policy processing systems. The system provides comprehensive commissions, code and rules-based payment plans, fee structures, as well as XML system-to-system integration. The application can be deployed via the Web allowing customers to determine which features are available to agents and policyholders.
"When we acquired Maximsoft, we were interested in its proven billing system to complement our existing SunGard iWORKS solutions," says Tara Winters, senior vice president of SunGard's iWORKS business unit.
