Itasca, Ill.-based insurance brokerage Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. announced the acquisition today of The Producer's Choice Inc. of Coral Springs, Fla. Transaction terms were not released.
Founded in 1992, Producer's Choice is a managing general agency and wholesale life insurance broker specializing in large case management, advanced sales support, and substandard or hard-to-place cases.
Eugene Rice, principal, and his associates--a total of seven employees--will continue to operate out of their current location under the direction of James Durkin, president of Gallagher Benefit Services Inc., a subsidiary of Gallagher.
J. Patrick Gallagher Jr., chairman, president and chief executive officer of Gallagher, said the firm's life specialization would complement Gallagher Benefits Services' niche capabilities.
