The Captive Insurance Companies Association announced today the recipients of two awards, for distinguished service and outstanding captive.

Leonard D. Crouse, deputy commissioner for captive insurance for the domicile of Vermont, was named recipient of the 2007 Distinguished Service Award.

He will be honored March 12 at the CICA International Conference for his “significant contributions to advancing the captive insurance industry,” CICA said.

STICO Mutual Insurance Company, an RRG, was named recipient of the 2007 Outstanding Captive Award, CICA said. The award recognizes creative uses of a captive or risk retention group.

“STICO Mutual's evolution over the past 20 years exemplifies the spirit of the new award,” CICA said.

CICA's annual conference takes place in Tucson, Ariz., March 11-13.
