The Insurance Brokers & Agents of the West said Paul Bystrowski has been installed as president for the group's 100th year of operation.
Mr. Bystrowski is president and chief executive officer of John O. Bronson Company of Sacramento, Calif.
Mr. Bystrowski took office during the association's annual business meeting held recently in Sacramento. The event featured an appearance by California Insurance Commissioner Steve Poizner.
The association also inducted:
o H. Scott Kerns, Bay Risk Insurance Services of Alameda, Calif., as president-elect.
o Richard E. Dinger, Crescenta Valley Insurance of Glendale, Calif., as secretary-treasurer.
o Andrew J. Valdivia, White & Company Insurance Inc. of Santa Monica, Calif., as Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America's state national director.
IBA West claims more than 14,000 insurance brokers and agents as members from more than 1,000 firms in California, Washington and Oregon.
