The National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies and the Property Casualty Insurers Association of America have both announced that new directors have been named.
Indianapolis, Ind.-based NAMIC said Joe Thesing, previously the association's state affairs manager, was named to the new position of director-state affairs.
Mr. Thesing will assume day-to-day management of NAMIC's regional state affairs managers and oversee the association's 50-state legislative program in coordination with Neil Alldredge, NAMIC's vice president of State and Regulatory Affairs.
Des Plaines, Ill.-based PCI said it has named Cliston Brown as the organization's director of federal public affairs.
He comes to the association after three years with the Alexandria, Va.-based Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America, where he served as director of public affairs. Previous to that, he worked as the director of communications for Rep. Peter J. Visclosky, D-Ind.
