A spring technology meeting is beaming in Captain Kirk for entertainment.
The 2007 ACORD LOMA Insurance Systems Forum will feature actor William Shatner as a speaker, the two groups announced.
ACORD, a Pearl River, N.Y.-based insurance data standards group, and LOMA, a financial sector company operations and research organization in Atlanta, Ga., said Mr. Shatner will open the meeting which runs May 20-22 at the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.
Mr. Shatner, famed for his role as Capt. James Kirk in the long-running television series "Star Trek," currently stars on ABC in "Boston Legal."
Known also as the spokesperson for priceline.com, Mr. Shatner has written over 20 best-selling books.
