Richmond, Va.-based insurance broker Hilb Rogal & Hobbs Company said it has acquired Investigative Solutions Inc. (ISI), an Atlanta-based provider of high-level risk management consulting and investigative solutions. Terms of the deal were not released.

HRH said ISI was founded in 1996 and employs personnel with experience with local, state and federal law enforcement.

ISI's president is Harold Copus, a former FBI agent. The company reported annualized revenue of approximately $1.5 million in 2006. ISI said its clients include U.S. and international organizations of varying sizes, law firms, executives and private individuals.

HRH said Mr. Copus and ISI employees will continue operations from their Atlanta office, joining HRH as a branch of HRH Risk Mitigation Inc. under the leadership of its president, Matthew C. Kelly.

“With an increasing number of emerging risk issues in today's world, it's no surprise that our clients are increasingly interested in our risk consulting services,” said Martin L. (Mell) Vaughan III, HRH's chairman and chief executive officer.

He said the acquisition “is an opportunity for HRH to serve a greater number of clients with a single-source solution to managing their risks and will be an excellent union for both companies.”
