SEATTLE–The Property Casualty Insurers Association of America officially elected Thomas Tierney as chairman today, moving him up from vice chairman. Mr. Tierney is also chairman, president and chief executive officer of the Vermont Mutual Insurance Group.
Robert Joyce was elected vice chairman and John Blackburn was selected as second vice chairman. Mr. Joyce is chairman and CEO of Westfield Group and Mr. Blackburn is CEO of Country Insurance & Financial Services.
The PCI chairman's post was previously held by Gerald Whitburn of Church Mutual Insurance.
