Prime Health Services, a preferred provider organization based in Brentwood, Tenn., announced it has formed a strategic alliance with MedRisk Inc.
The company said its agreement with the expert provider organization enables Prime Health's customers to access King of Prussia, Pa.-based MedRisk's workers' compensation physical medicine specialists.
Brian Sharp, Prime Health's chief executive officer, explained, "Since physical medicine represents 20-to-30 percent of the workers' compensation medical dollar, MedRisk's specialty service for managing this segment will bring significant value to our clients."
The arrangement allows Prime Health's customers access to more than 15,000 physical and occupational therapists as well as more than 12,000 chiropractors in MedRisk's EPO.
Shelley Boyce, CEO of MedRisk Inc., said Prime Health's clients will enjoy lower physical medicine costs and better outcomes using her company's "unique diagnostic reimbursement program and our evidence-based medical management program."
