Dryden Mutual Insurance Company is the newest independent agent carrier to become a member of the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America's branding initiative Trusted Choice.

The Dryden, N.Y.-based company is the 40th carrier to join the Alexandria, Va.-based association's Trusted Choice program aimed at highlighting the benefits independent agencies and brokerage firms offer consumers: choice of companies, customization of policies and advocacy support.

Founded in 1860, Dryden Mutual does business in New York State. All of Dryden Mutual's insurance products are distributed exclusively in New York State through local, licensed independent agents. More information can be found on the company's Web site at www.drydenmutual.com.

Last month, Preferred Employers Insurance Company, a San Diego-based workers' compensation insurer, became the 39th company member to join the program.
