The Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of America has named Dave Evans as the new executive director of Trusted Choice, the association's branding initiative.
Mr. Evans, a senior vice president with IIABA, has been with the association since 1998. Prior to joining IIABA, he worked for a major insurance company, a national employee benefits consulting firm and as co-founder of his own firm.
In addition to his duties at Trusted Choice, Mr. Evans will continue to oversee the IIABA's communications department and serve as publisher of its Independent Agent magazine.
"As someone who has worked on our brand from conception to implementation, I can think of no one more qualified to take Trusted Choice to the next level," said IIABA President Alex Soto, who is also president of Miami-based InSource Inc. "Dave is a great communicator, but even more importantly, he understands how agents and companies can use the brand to drive business their way."
Jeff Myers, the former executive director of Trusted Choice, has left to pursue other opportunities, the Alexandria, Va.-based association said.
"Jeff Myers did great work for Trusted Choice, and we will miss him," said Robert Rusbuldt, IIABA's chief executive officer. "We commend him for his commitment and dedication to building the Trusted Choice brand."
