The W.R. Berkley Corporation has become the 33rd insurance company to join the Trusted Choice branding program launched by the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America, IIABA said.
W.R. Berkley, based in Greenwich, Conn., operates Acadia Insurance Company, Berkley Mid-Atlantic Group, Continental Western Group, Preferred Employers Insurance Company and Union Standard Insurance Group.
"W.R. Berkley Corporation and our regional companies understand the value of independent agents and brokers," said William R. Berkley, chairman and chief executive officer of W.R. Berkley.
He said the carrier believes "that branding our distribution system makes a tremendous amount of sense for insurance consumers, our agents and brokers, and our companies."
