Brown & Brown insurance brokerage said it has acquired Owensboro, Ky.-based insurance agency The Anderson Group, the property-casualty division of TEBA Inc.
Terms of the deal were not released.
Daytona Beach, Fla.-based Brown & Brown said it acquired the employee benefits portion of the agency in 2003. This transaction brings all lines of The Anderson Group under the Brown & Brown name, the insurance broker said.
The Anderson Group benefit agencies acquired by B&B in 2003 had annualized revenues of $2.5 million. They include Benefit Resource Inc., Benefit Resource of Indiana Inc., and Business Benefits Group Inc.
The Anderson Group, with annualized revenues of $1.2 million, serves the p-c needs of a wide variety of individual and commercial clients throughout the Owensboro and Evansville, Ind., area.
C. Todd Anderson, principal of The Anderson Group, and his staff will continue to serve their clients from their existing location.
