The number of risk retention groups in the United States now stands at 226–more than double the number three years ago, according to the newly published Risk Retention Group Directory & Guide, 2006.
The directory contains in-depth profiles for risk retention groups and features indexes of more than 500 service providers, detailing the services they provide to RRGs.
Each full-page profile describes the RRG and its members and includes the types of risks insured, eligibility requirements, insurance coverages, policy limits and reinsurers.
Profiles also contain names of key officers, contact information, states of operation, licensing information, and accessibility of the RRG to insureds, agents and brokers. Selected statistical information for RRGs for the past four years is provided as well, according to a press release.
The Risk Retention Group Directory & Guide, 2006 includes a State-by-State Survey of Risk Retention Group regulation, A Guide to the 1986 Risk Retention Act, full text of the Liability Risk Retention Act of 1986, proposed amendments to the Risk Retention Act, and contact information for state insurance department personnel, as well as contact information for key agencies and organizations.
Uniform registration forms developed by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) for RRG registration with state insurance departments are also provided.
The Risk Retention Group Directory & Guide, 2006, published by Insurance Communications, costs $325 in print; $385 in CD-ROM format; and $660 for both. Orders are taken at 626-796-4972 or online www.rrr.com/order.
