Myron Hendry was named executive vice president and chief operations officer of Countrywide Insurance Group.
In his new role, Mr. Hendry will be responsible for overseeing Countrywide's central operations, claims and information technology, as the company looks to expand its operations and increase its presence in various lender-placed insurance business segments.
"Countrywide Insurance Group has grown net premiums 28 percent over the past three years and has ambitious plans in the next five years," said Bob James, president and chief executive officer at Countrywide. "Myron's experience as a growth-oriented executive positions us well to continue diversifying our offerings, broadening our geographic reach, and leveraging technology and processes that bring competitive advantages and ensure business continuity."
In his career, Mr. Hendry has served in senior positions with a number of large insurers, including Safeco and CNA Financial.
