Marsh, the insurance brokerage subsidiary of New York-based Marsh & McLennan, announced several management changes and the reshuffling of its management structure after a top executive resigned.
Marsh announced that Alex Moczarski, a 12-year veteran of Marsh, was named president and chief executive officer of an expanded Europe, Middle East and Africa region, replacing Bruce Carne-Brown, who has decided to leave the firm.
For the past two years, Mr. Moczarski has been the head of the Marsh International Specialty Operations Region, which includes Africa, Asia, Latin America & Caribbean and the Pacific.
Brian Storms, Marsh chairman and CEO, said Mr. Carne-Brown had provided “clear strategic direction and a steady hand that has solidified and enhanced our foundation for long-term growth in this important region. We wish him all the best.”
Mr. Storms called the division critical to the firm's long-term success.
Other changes announced were:
o Latin America & Caribbean operations will join Canada and the United States in a new Americas region, led by Bill Malloy, President, Marsh Inc.
o Asia/Pacific will become a stand-alone region led by David Batchelor, currently region head of Asia.
