Thomas P. O'Brien, an executive with Hanover Insurance Group, has been named Company Person of the Year by the Professional Insurance Agents of New Jersey.
A small account specialist, he has served in the insurance industry for more than 40 years, the past five with Hanover.
Everyone who has ever worked with Mr. O'Brien “knows how valuable his expertise is in balancing the needs of the independent agent and his company,” said John Latimer, president of PIANJ.
The association also announced that Andrew Harris, president of Liberty Insurance Associates in Englishtown, N.J., will receive the Distinguished Insurance Service Award. Mr. Harris is also the president of Proformance Insurance Co.
Mr. O'Brien and Mr. Harris will receive their awards during the joint PIANJ and PIANY annual conference June 11-13 in Atlantic City, N.J.
