John B. Gallagher, formerly with ACE USA, has been appointed chief underwriting officer of XL Insurance's global property operations.
The announcement was made by David Duclos, chief operating officer of XL Capital Ltd.'s global insurance operations from the company's Exton, Pa. office.
Mr. Gallagher, who will report to Mr. Duclos, will be located in the XL Insurance New York office.
XL said the new CUO comes to the firm from ACE USA, where he was executive vice president of their property division.
