WASHINGTON–Robert E. Fulwider has been named president-elect of the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America by the association's National Board.
The board also named C. Brett Nilsson as the association's next vice president during the Alexandria, Va.-based association's board meeting here this week.
Mr. Fulwider is principal and president of the Ray Wuestenberg Agency Inc., in West Liberty, Iowa, and of the Fulwider Agency Inc., in West Branch, Iowa. He also is president of Bob Fulwider and Associates, a life-and-health financial-planning agency in eastern Iowa.
Mr. Nilsson is vice president of operations for Acordia Mountain West in Ogden, Utah.
The nominations of Mr. Fulwider and Mr. Nilsson are subject to a final vote by the association's membership. Upon confirmation, Mr. Fulwider and Mr. Nilsson will assume their positions at the next board meeting in New Orleans in September. At that meeting, current IIABA President-elect Alex Soto will be sworn in as president.
