Audrey Samers, a veteran regulator who served as New York Insurance Department's deputy superintendent for the past five years, is leaving her state post for a position with a private carrier.
A spokesman for the department, Mike Barry, said Ms. Samers is joining the New York office of Ace Group Holdings as associate general counsel and deputy global compliance officer.
Ms. Samers will join Ace next month, he said. No replacement has been named at this time. She has served with the department for nearly eight years, Mr. Barry said.
