Corbette S. Doyle has been selected as this year's recipient of the APIW Insurance Woman of the Year Award, the Association of Professional Insurance Women Inc. said.
Ms. Doyle is chief diversity officer of Aon Corp. brokerage and chairwoman of its national health care practice.
She began her insurance career on the company side, serving in various capacities including planning and research, regional underwriting management, and national accounts.
Until her recent promotion, Ms. Doyle served as executive vice president of national practices for Aon Risk Services and had executive committee responsibility for over a dozen industry practices within Aon.
She has published numerous articles in a number of journals and is a frequent speaker on a broad array of topics including insurance, health care and women in the workforce.
Ms. Doyle will be honored during an award ceremony to be held June 8 at the New York Marriott Marquis.
Gregory Case, president and chief executive officer of Chicago-based Aon Corp., is scheduled to attend and introduce Ms. Doyle at the event.
