John M. Prible has been named the new assistant vice president for federal government affairs at the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of America.
Mr. Prible will replace Patrick O'Brien, director of federal government affairs, who is leaving to take a position with B&D Sagamore, a subsidiary of the Baker & Daniels law firm.
The IIABA also said it promoted Brendan T. Reilly, formerly director of federal government affairs, to be an assistant vice president. Mr. Reilly joined the IIABA in January 2005 from the House Financial Services Committee.
Mr. Prible formerly served as director of government affairs for the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts (NAREIT). He will join the Big "I" in April.
"We are very pleased, and very fortunate, to have a strong, dynamic and bipartisan federal government affairs team with an extensive working knowledge of the legislative process and Capitol Hill," said Charles E. Symington Jr., IIABA senior vice president for government affairs and federal relations.
