A panel of insurance industry leaders will give young agents their insights on critical issues affecting the future of the independent agency system at the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America's Washington meeting, IIABA said.

This year's National Legislative Conference and Convention event is scheduled for April 26-28 at the Grand Hyatt Washington and the Washington Convention Center.

"The President's Panel brings together today's and tomorrow's industry leaders," says William G. Stiglitz III, IIABA president. "This meeting gives young agents the rare opportunity to hear from top industry executives about their key concerns and learn what's happening in the industry that will shape their futures."

Joining Mr. Stiglitz on the President's Panel are: Tony Pavia, president, AIG Agency Auto; Cynthia Hardy Young, president, Encompass Insurance; John Ammendola, senior vice president, Safeco Insurance; and Robert V. James, senior managing director, president and chief executive officer of Balboa Insurance Group.

The Young Agents Breakfast and President's Panel is a long-running highlight of the conference. It is presented by the National Young Agents Committee.

The National Young Agents Committee is also hosting a first-time young agent attendee reception, two evening networking events, and an InsurPac luncheon featuring keynote speaker Rep. Bobby Jindal, R-La.
