The Captive Insurance Companies Association said D. Hugh Rosenbaum, a London-based independent consultant, has been awarded its newly-created Distinguished Service Award.
Mr. Rosenbaum was given what the group said is now its highest award at its annual conference last week in Orlando, Fla. CICA said the award recognizes individuals or organizations that have made significant contributions to advancing the captive insurance industry.
Mr. Rosenbaum, a retired principal of the Towers Perrin London office, was founder and editor of the monthly newsletter Captive Insurance Company Reports and the annual Directory of Captive Insurance Companies, to which he continues to contribute. He co-authored Generally Accepted Captive Standards and was recently elected to the European Risk Management Hall of Fame.
