Slaton Insurance, located in West Palm Beach, was recently named national Agency of the Year among 265 agencies by the Institute of WorkComp Professionals at its Annual Graduate Symposium in Annapolis, Md. The institute trains and certifies employees for agencies in reducing employers' workers' compensation costs.
"The agency's work over the last four years exemplifies the Institute's efforts to help companies better manage workers' compensation programs for long-term cost savings," said Preston Diamond, executive director of the Institute. Diamond added that
Slaton "embraced the process, taking part in our first session in 2001 and embedding it in their agency."
Since 2001, Slaton Insurance reports helping clients save more than $2 million in premiums. The company trademarked a program supporting business owners through the claims process and helping prevent overpayment of workers' compensation premiums.
"This award recognizes our agency's philosophy that excellence is a minimum standard," says Les Breedlove, owner and CEO of Slaton Insurance, who accepted the award on behalf of the agency.
