Assurex Global Partners commercial insurance brokerage group has named Paul J. Hering chairman, succeeding Gregory S. Belton, who is completing a two-year term in the post.
Mr. Belton is president at the insurance brokerage firm Hunter Keilty Muntz & Beatty Ltd., Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He will continue to serve on the Assurex board as chairman emeritus.
Mr. Hering is the managing principal and chief executive officer of Barney & Barney LLC in San Diego, which has been affiliated with Columbus, Ohio-based Assurex Global since 1984.
Assurex Global also announced the election of three new board members to three-year terms.
They are:
o Matt Coleman, president, strategy & business development, Van Gilder Insurance Corp., Denver.
oFrank Mikan, president, The HDH Group Inc., Pittsburgh.
oDavid Lee Rodriguez, director, international division, Pulsar Global Insurance Brokers Srl, Milan, Italy.
