Sams Hires Four

Sams and Associates, a firm providing claim adjusting and insurance services, has hired four adjusters. Jim DeVard, formerly regional vice president of claims for CSE Insurance Group, will focus on staff and program management, quality control, contract services, and litigation. He will be based in the Sacramento corporate office.

Don Smith, previously a carrier and independent adjuster, will be involved in systems and procedures, auditing, and contract management.

Carmen Garcia will handle public entity, workers' compensation, and litigation exposures.

Catherine Nevin, formerly an adjuster for Zurich and the Hartford and also an independent adjuster, will handle claims in the San Francisco area and northern coast of California.
