The Defense Research Institute, an organization of defense trial lawyers and corporate counsel, has elected Kathy J. Maus national director. She is a partner at the law firm Butler Pappas, where she handles bad faith, casualty, and first- and third-party insurance coverage cases.
Prior to attending law school, Maus served as a licensed commercial liability claim adjuster with a national insurance company.
