Decision Research Corp. has introduced Portal Access, an add-on module to the company's DecisionMaker policy administration system. Portal Access allows insurers to offer agents and other distribution channels real-time access to their policy administration system. With the extended capabilities, Decision Research clients are able to deploy a single solution for their policy administration needs. The product offers immediate access to a single, current source of information and functionality. Insurers utilizing a policy administration system other than DecisionMaker also may take advantage of Portal Access through a configurable interface.
Portal Access highlights include: browser-based data collection; integration with policy administration systems; user-specific access to policies and quotations; and the ability to create supporting documents, such as declaration pages, proof of insurance cards, and quotation proposals
Karen Yamamoto, a spokesperson for Decision Research, says, "We look at Portal Access as a natural extension of the policy administration process. While efficiency in the back office is critical, streamlining the entire process to include the field operation, whether to the agent or directly to the insured, is just as important for process efficiency and service quality."
